Texas Juvenile Justice Department, Executive Director   

Responsible for oversight of the Texas juvenile justice system, including strategic reform efforts at the state level and the regulation and funding of the state’s juvenile probation departments.     

Texas Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, Executive Director  

Responsible for oversight of the division, including responsibility for all program and policy initiatives and an active portfolio of $400 million in active grant projects.       

Deloitte Consulting, LLP, Specialist Leader   

Responsible for client service, business development, and practice development as the leader of the Grants Program Management practice group within the firm.      

U.S. Department of Justice, Deputy Associate Attorney General  

Senior leadership role with oversight of all state and local justice policy and grant-making agencies within the Department including the Office of Justice Programs and its components the Bureau of Justice Assistance, the National Institute of Justice, the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and the Office for Victims of Crime as well as the Office of Violence Against Women, and the Community-Oriented Policing Service.       

U.S. Department of Education, Director of Regional Services  

 Senior-level role in the Office of Communications and Outreach overseeing the Department’s ten regional offices to provide structure and direction for media, communication, outreach, and governmental affairs.     

Riga Solutions Group, Principal   

Consulted and advised agencies to improve and streamline operations and manage crisis situations.      

U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, Principal Deputy & Acting Director Served as the Principal Deputy Director, with oversight of the program and grants management operations and then as the Acting Director, directing all Bureau activities. Held signature authority for $1.2 billion in grants annually and made recommendations on an additional $430 million with approximately 25 funding programs and $7 billion in open grants at any point.     

Texas Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, Director of Planning   

Directed the section of CJD responsible for agency planning, the development of funding programs and initiatives, oversight of the award and grant management processes, development of internal grants policy, and agency communications and publications.
